Serdecznie zapraszamy do uczestnictwa w zbliżającej się 11 już edycji przeglądu miniatury tkackiej Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia. Zgłoszenia (wypełnioną kartę uczestnictwa) nadsyłać można do 30 października 2018 (data doręczenia do Muzeum). Po posiedzeniu Jury, podczas którego wybranych zostanie 50 prac do konkursu finałowego, poinformujemy Państwa o zakwalifikowaniu do udziału w wystawie pokonkursowej.
Wystawa pokonkursowa odbędzie się w Muzeum Miasta Gdyni w terminie 8 marca – 9 czerwca 2019.

11 Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia 2019

Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia is organised by Gdynia City Museum every three years for professional artists from Poland and abroad.

The Competition is organised as a review of contemporary practice in the field of textile miniatures made is various techniques in order to select the best works and present them at a post-competition exhibition at Gdynia City Museum as well as at the post-competition exhibition at the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź (Poland).

Selected works, chosen from those donated to the collection of Gdynia City Museum, will also be exhibited in Germany (in a gallery in Middle Franconia).

Conditions for participation in the Competition

Only professional artists from Poland and abroad – graduates of art schools and members of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) – will be accepted for the Competition.

One author can submit to the Competition up to three textile miniatures [works], from which the Jury will select one work.

The maximum size of the framed works is 20 x 20 cm, for spatial objects 20 x 20 x 20 cm. The subject matter is to be selected by authors.

The written submission to the Competition should be made personally by the author, on the Participant Card. The legibly filled Card should be submitted together with pictures of works (print-outs), up to 5 pictures of each work.

Pictures of works (print-outs) should be in 13 x 18 cm format, high resolution, printed on glossy paper, with a detailed description of the manner of display of the works, package and the marking up-bottom. The pictures should be signed with the author’s first and last name and the title of the work.

The Participant Card should be sent to the Organiser’s address:

Muzeum Miasta Gdyni, ul. Zawiszy Czarnego 1, 81-374 Gdynia, with a note: Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia.

On the basis of photographs (print-outs) submitted to the competition the Jury will make a preliminary assessment of the artistic quality of the works, as well as select 50 works for the final competition. Finalists will be informed of the decision of the Jury via email or telephone and will be asked to deliver the works together with a CD with its 600 dpi resolution digital photograph to the address of the Organiser.
